124 Engine Swap

Post by CharlieB »

Can an engine from a 1978 124 be installed into a 1976? I know the answer is on the forum somewhere, but I can't find it.

The alternator on the '78 is on the left (intake) side, and cannot be easily moved to the passenger side as it runs on a different groove on the crank. The crank pullies are not interchangeable, but you could have one custom made.
