FI swap & cam cover

Post by bluespider262 »

Doing my research and coming up short on this one...is swapping the intake cam cover for one with the dimple in the center a requirement to fit an '80 FI intake/plenum/TB on a 79 carb'ed 2.0L?

TIA

I believe they both fit, but if you use the one without the dimple the black hose may rub. If it rubs it may move or wear thin in that spot.

I've seen FI conversion that did not use the dimpled cam cover.
