My '75 Spider needs new tires. The tires now on the car are 13". Any recommendations for a bigger wheel? I'm not looking for custom wheels, ideally a 14" steel wheel with the correct bolt pattern.
Thanks,
Rusty

Re: Want Bigger Wheels
go for the 14" alloy wheel that came out with the spider like the pic of the red fiat spider in the top right corner of this website.

Re: Want Bigger Wheels
Mark has a great wheel selection with the right offset and bolt pattern. I bought some 15" rotas from him. When people comment about the car, it is either about the paint or the wheels. This is definitely a more expensive way to go than stock 14" wheels.

Although given the price trajectory for 14" tires.... Only in the short term

Re: Want Bigger Wheels
do they make a 15 steelie 4x98 that fits fiat hub caps? i think an oversized stock wheel on a lightly lowered early car would look awesome...later cars too

Re: Want Bigger Wheels
I went with 14" Lancia wheels got from a fellow forum member. I then put 195 x 70 tires on them. Raised the cart up about 2" but I love it. You might ask some of the other members if someone has a set. I know someone here in NC that had a set he was wanting to sell he might still have them if you are interested.

Re: Want Bigger Wheels
I might be selling mine. Just taking them off my 1985 Spidereuropa...
15 inch. 205/50/15. New tires as well.
Looks great if larger tires are what you want.
(But in Sweden. So alas maybe too cumbersome? But post can work.)
Cannot seem to include a pic in this post...
Email me at Martin@stuff.se if interested.
