Radiator fluid leaking

Post by camdjkim »

My daughter was sited on the passenger seat and noticed radiator fluid leaking under the dash board right next to the center console.

WHen i move the temperature levers on the center console it pulls a cable that's attached to, what I believe is called a cock. WHen i move the lever it releases radiator fluid. What is causing this? WHat is a cock? How do I fix it? THanks any advise will help.

It's probably the heater core or the heater valve. For example, see

Heater tap, heater control valve, some might call it a stop cock. Readily available from Fiat parts suppliers. If you do a forum search you'll find some of the issues others have had, and how they've solved them.

I've attached an image. Is this the Heater Valve, Ta0? or what is it?

that is an original heater valve. When you replace it you'll find you need to replace the pipe also. The pipe that is attached to your valve won't align properly with the new valve. I just happen to offer a solution in my ebay store at so cal fiat parts

I replaced the heater valve and the 2 gaskets. I did not have to replace the pipe. It fit just fine. Thanks for all your help.
