Autocar mag here in England have posted a leak that the new 124 spider will be launched in the USA in either Sept or Nov this year:

That rendering looks pretty different to most I've seen, but I'm super excited to see the new Spider.

I love my Abarth, but I can only imagine pairing that wonderful engine to a lightweight RWD convertible. As long as it looks, sounds, and is priced better than the new Miata, it should sell well.

I'll bet there will soon be a lot of rueful Miata owners soon if the new Spider is at a similar price point. Still I guess they're both made in Japan but...

It doesn't match the lines of the spy shots, but does have some cool looking features!
