Tempature gauge
So my 83 fiat is running great but this year I noticed that when I start the car and for the first about 5 min before I begin driving my temp gauge works ok but as soon as I go into gear and give it some gas it shuts down to the bottom and stays there, I looked at some of the wiring and I didn't find anything. Anyone have more info on this?

Re: Tempature gauge
Could it be that the gauge is correct, but the thermostat is bad (always open) and thus the engine cools as soon as the car starts moving?
