Re: Wheel resto
I've seen a number of wheels that have been restored and powder coated by a local shop. They look great, and the powder coat process leaves a very nice, durable finish. It's also a great finish for brake calipers, and many other metal items. We even had our sink, tub and shower taps powder coated.
Always looking for curves under blue skies!

Re: Wheel resto
you can find wheel powdercoat shops that either sandblast or chemically strip the old paint. sandblasting can remove detail.

Re: Wheel resto
4uall, Did your friend do the powder coating himself? If so, how? I know that a scrap oven can be used to bake the powder, but have never tried myself.
