Front sway bar

Just wondering if it's safe to remove the front sway bar on our cars entirely. I've got a 1981 and the bolts have broken off on one side so I'd rather just remove the bar entirely than try and remove the bolt from the threads. I'd also have to buy new brackets as well because the brackets I have are pretty much broken as well.

safe to remove, but not to drive without. You'll have quite a bit of body roll
