I've got a '75 Spider I'm trying to desmog. Does anyone have the size of the bolts needed to block off the ports for the EGR and the associated ports on the intake and exhaust?
Can I swap the exhaust side cam gear to a later 1800 cam gear without the smog pump without issue?
Is there anything else than can be deleted from the engine bay that's smog related?
Thanks

Head plugs are m12 1.25 threads 1/2 inch long will work. These are nice too.
http://www.autoricambi.us/product/CH0-0 ... -Plug-Set/
Remove egr, air pump and injector system, vacuum electro valve on carb side, and every vacuum line on the carb and intake except for brake booster and fuel vent to charcoal canister. Plug or cap all. Don't leave any open ports.
Consider removing the dual points set up and bypass the ignition mode relay and convert to single points, time distributor to 10 deg
The egr that goes through the intake cam cover does not need to be plugged since it does not enter the head at all, just molded into the cover.
You can swap cam pulley for a non smog one. That smog pump pulley is heavy!
