I created a spreadsheet of all the connectors and components on my 1985 Pininfarina Spider.

It goes very well with the updated single wiring diagram I created. You can click on the links to see photos of the connectors and the components. Sure does take a lot of the mystery out of the car when you understand the circuits cold. I am trying to save the wiring diagram as a *.svg file so that it can be panned and zoomed. Still working on that part.
Wouldn't it be awesome if a list like this had another column with a link to a place to buy the part? Some of them are easy, other not so much. I am trying to source the AC Trinary switch (Pressure Switch, Air Conditioning) right now and the old label is faded and I can't seem to find the correct switch.

That looks like a hell of a lot of work.

Re: Check out my Connectors and Components list
KidDingo if you think that was a lot of work you should hear more about the great saga. I have been calling Italy directly to find exact replacement parts. Calling TE connectivity corporation that bought out AMP that made the connectors that BOSCH used to make the fuel injection harness to find the right color connectors so I can re-engineer and re-manufacture my FI harness from all new stock materials. 3D scanned some parts and used a 3D printer to make new parts. I even took apart the steering column switch assembly and fixed the melted plastic and then added heat sinks to prevent future overheating. And also I re-drew/reverse-engineered/created and integrated wiring diagram. There was a lot more as well. As I get more time I will post more of the stories and solutions on this forum.
For now I think I have a solution for the *.svg file that I can display on the web. Take a look at this diagram and let me know if you can pan around and zoom in and out of the wiring diagram. It is not so useful to print out, but it does allow you to trace wires and get a good sense of the entire car at once. There are some elements that aren't quite right nor done yet. Just a labor of love I guess.

mighty nice work (pun intended)
yes I can pan...click and hold/drag like a map, and scroll wheel zooms in and out, now if you could click/hold and resize box
seriously, you have done some great work here, kudos, almost feel bad about ripping all the wiring from our Spider........ahhhhh then again, not so bad

Homeserver.com is no longer available. Are these resources saved or moved to a new location? I'd love to check it out.

Re: Check out my Connectors and Components list
I had to take a couple years off when my little kids showed up. Sorry for the broken links. Yes the homeserver.com url was from back when Microsoft sold home servers. Those days are long gone. I now have a Windows Server and the remotewebaccess URL works. I had to go back and update all the links and they should work now. Also you will see that not all the components have pics. Probably because I don't know what those components are. If anyone knows what those components are and can point me to a pic or where in the car it is that would help me complete the list.
