FFO Checklist

Post by Exit98 »

The much whittled down NJ contingent is scheduled to leave for Pittsburgh early Friday morning. Looks like just George (NJFIAT1981), Ralph (lanciahf) and me. It's a 350 mile trip, the longest so far for me and my Spider, so I've been busy getting ready. Here's my completed check list:

FFO CHECKLIST

Oil & Filter changed
Fuel filter changed
Gear box oil topped off (leaking)
Wheel bolts checked (twice)
Tire pressure checked (don’t forget the spare)
New water pump
New radiator
Fixed exhaust rattle
Replaced d/s real caliper (e-brake wouldn’t engage)
Replaced e-brake cable (road debris ripped out the old one)
Washed, waxed and vacuumed.
Spare clutch cable aboard as I’m nervous about the old one.
34 ADFA mixture and idle adjusted - Thanks Ralph (lanciahf)
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Maps, chargers, music

Fingers crossed I look forward to meeting many of you folks out there. The Pittsburgh Historic Grand Prix has been on my list for a long time, so it's a chance to kill two birds....

Have a safe trip everyone and don't forget to check you lug bolts and spare tire pressure.

See you there. I'll be the one with Quebec plates. Please introduce yourselves. Starting off at 5 am Tuesday with Ontario boys 4uall and phaetn. Sunny skies to start, risk of severe thunderstorms as we approach Pensylvania. I've never driven this car in the rain. Fingers crossed.

Hi,

There will be rain.

I'm rolling the dice; after four long and often excruciating years this will be my first FIAT event; 820mile round trip from Southern NY on a freshly rebuilt (broken-in) engine. Car's a little rough for 'standing around looking at' but driving very nicely, indeed.

Unfortunately there's no time to get "scolapasta" on a license plate; but I did pickup a roll of clear Gorilla Tape tonight.

I plan to have the GWB long in the rearview mirror by 8am Thursday morning, stopping in Nazareth, at the Acorn UFO, and somewhere in-between; should anyone else be heading that way.

I too am bringing a clutch cable, they seem to evaporate, and checking the spare is great advice. And I thought I was the last guy still using maps...

Looking forward to meeting the faithful.

Ciao,
Mark
