I use a medium grade ( 91 Octane ) gas and get 27 MPG in my fuel injected 2000.
How does that compare to yours?

Re: Gas Grade & Mileage?
Only 200 km on a tank? I usually fill up after 200 miles (320km). Get 23-29 mpg, depends on driving. I have to use premium gas (93 octane R+M here in TX) due to higher compression.
I once experimented on my Volvo to see if it would get better mileage on premium gas. It did, but not enough to justify the extra cost.

Bone stock 79 with automatic and ADHA - 23 freeway only, 19 combined regardless of how I drive. I got 27 in my 80 EFI.

Low Sulphur Diesel and get 38 (city) to 50 (hgwy) mpg depending on how hard I push the 1.8L Turbo Diesel.

Re: Gas Grade & Mileage?
32/36 DFEV upgrade, factory '74 4-2-1 header & factory '81 electronic ignition upgrade on my 1978 1.8, runs & drives great! I'm only getting about 16 MPG around town with the best of 24 on the highway all on 87 pump gas.
I would probably get a little better around town if I didn't drive her like I stole her.

Re: Gas Grade & Mileage?
My '71 Coupe with twin IDF40s on a European 1608 varies between 25 - 35 USmpg, depending on how well it is running and how I drive it . Lately, it's about 30, it's running well, and I'm standing on it everywhere. I was getting 35 in the summer a few years ago when I was doing a lot of easy-cruising commuting between Bern and Zurich.

Re: Gas Grade & Mileage?
My bone stock 73 with a 1592 gets around 25mpg around town and 30-32 on the highway. I use regular 87 octane fuel.
