Classic and sports car magazine June issue
I don't normally buy this magazine because its contains more ads than articles, its pricy too. Go pick up the latest copy of Classic and sports car magazine June issue. In addition to the pictures of the Ferrari 250 GT California there is a great article about Fiat vs MG. Lists the pros and cons, specs, strong and weak points and brief histories of both cars in a comparison. Of course the Fiat wins on several levels.
If only you thumb through it at the newsstand, at least read the last paragraph of the article, it realy sums it up for the Fiat. It also explains why this forum, and you guys exist. Keep the passion alive.

Jason has the black car and Ben has the yellow car in the article. Both are friends.

Re: Classic and sports car magazine June issue
Is there an online article on this .I have looked for one and for the magazine w/ no success. I would love to read the article as I have owned both marques. What was the general outcome of the challenge?I honestly cant think of 1 area where my MGB or B/GT was superior to my Spider.

Re: Classic and sports car magazine June issue
In an effort to be helpful, there are two recent articles in two different UK classic car magazines
Classic Cars, June 2008, features Jason's black car in the ' Buy a Fiat 124 Spider' article, p96
Classic & Sports Car, June 2008, features Ben's yellow car in the ' Fiat 124 Spider vs MGB' article, p150
Blessed with so many classic vehicle publications it is great to see a car that was never officially imported to the UK being featured so prominently and so positively. I certainly get more 'informed' questions within my local classic car fraternity since the articles were published. (And the flat caps over in the MGB section now flap even more furiously every time a Spider is mentioned .)
