Adding some significant mass to the shifter knob might help dampen it.

The knob on the coupe is a large, solid metal, chromed ball that weighs a ton (relative to most shifter knobs). Doesn't seem to matter - they just rattle.

mine rattled like crazy with the stock setup although the setup was clearly not "right" and it rattles as much or more with the awesome short shifter from AR. second and third gear below 4000rpm is the worst...
