Saw it the other night. Its the couple with the Sunbeam and the Spider.

She wanted minor work but in the end the bill was $10K. Cracked crossmember, new front suspension. Pulled the motor for oil leaks and did head work. All started cuz she couldn't reach the petals as the seat was jammed. Made a big deal about installing new seat tracks.

Yep. I recall there was a door alignment problem, as well. Cylinders were in rough shape but owner cut it off at $10k of repairs. It was an Internet purchase for I think $7k or $8k.

HOWEVER.....
There was a Fiat Spider shown in a collection on the show Restoration Garage.
The announcer stated that some examples have sold at auction for up to $50,000!!!!
