Re: 1983 Pininfarina Spider Resto
Pt. 3 ladies and gents - Enjoy!
Time to tackle the rear end. First I took off one side of the panhard rod, then I disconnected the compensator linkage to the diff, I also loosened the fittings on the flexible center brake hose and clamped it (I'm replacing the hose) until I was ready to drop the axle.
Spring out
That moment when you realize you've gone too far
Before
Masking up the slides
While everything was out, I thought I would spray the wheel wells with a rubberized coating
Now to deal with mess
Decided to replace the master cylinder, to prevent brake fluid from pouring out, put a piece of plastic wrap over the fluid reservoir then tighten the cap
My hand brake cable
So here is a shot of the rear axle all back together, I put in new KYB's, got the compensator hooked up, installed a new hand brake cable, new brake hoses, sandblasted the rotors then wire wheeled them, and sandblasted and painted the dust shield and wheel spacer.
Summer project complete! ... for now

Your work looks super, but are you in some weird time warp, black hole universe? It's taken me like 2 years to do what you did in 2 days!!!!

Re: 1983 Pininfarina Spider Resto
Hahaha thank you and unfortunately this was all done in real time, most of the work was broken up into three segments over the course of around 7 months. There is some more work that I'v done recently that I need to add to the collection. More pictures soon.
