32/36 DFEV Float setting

Post by rjbaum12 »

I've searched the forum and plenty of advice on the 32/36 carb setup, but have not found what the float setting is supposed to be. This carb was on my parts car and I'm having idle issues, want to make sure the float is set correctly. Anyone know the float setting for this carb?
Thanks!!

I believe it is 40 closed, 50 open with a brass float and 35 closed, 50 open with a plastic float. Redline has at least three different documents on the subject online, making it confusing. They say 43mm max setting for "aggressive off road use" - which is meaningless to me, but puts 43mm in the safe range for either plastic or brass float.

Also make sure that the jets are correct.. My two idle jets were swapped, and when I corrected that, it made a huge difference in the idle.
