So I went and visited a mechanic friend of mine. He listened to the motor and immediately said I must have slipped a tooth or two when I installed the new belt. He said you need to brace the cams aligned so that there is absolutely no movement. I ordered a new belt. He offered to help me. Belt comes in Thursday. Wish me luck!

Keep it as a spare. The belt on the engine has done no work, it will be fine to slip off a cam wheel to get them lined up.

Ok, just got the car back. Belt was off by a couple telethon both cams. The difference in performance is amazing. Much more power, idles better, etc. thanks for all the help. I'll be asking for more help on what to work on next.
