SPEEDO CABLE LUBE QUESTION

Post by Hurco550 »

Hello all, I just replaced the speedometer cable in my 79 spider last night, and after I got it done, I realized that I had not put any kind of lubrication in it. Is this generally required for new cables or do they come good to go? The link below is the cable that I bought.
Thanks!

They are usually good to go however if you feel it was old stock you can get the lube at most parts stores:

Thanks for the info. It looks to be new and not NOS. I may pick some of that up just to be safe anyways
