Hello all, I just replaced the speedometer cable in my 79 spider last night, and after I got it done, I realized that I had not put any kind of lubrication in it. Is this generally required for new cables or do they come good to go? The link below is the cable that I bought.

They are usually good to go however if you feel it was old stock you can get the lube at most parts stores:
