An interesting morning

So I was invited to an open day at the local BMW dealership, they have just spent a gazillion dollars on a state of the art service center. It was hosted by the BMW club of Halifax, and "different" European cars were invited with the premise being that they (mostly BMW) were to be hoisted up and an extremely knowledgeable chap spoke about the different suspension set ups etc.

I have to say that the most interesting stuff was the older European cars that attended. An alfa Guiletta, a Ferrari, a really cool old Rover, a Jensen something or other... I felt right proud of my little old fiat!!
Alas, I didn't take hardly any pics!

An alfa Guiletta

Would that have been Dave's maroon Alfa romeo Giulietta SS Sprint Speciale?
Dave moved out to Halifax from Ottawa about a year or two ago. He also has a very nice Fiat Dino (which he let me drive once)
I think he is now working on a E type Jag.
Dave's a great guy, he was a big part of our ICCO club.
Say hi to him for me.

Phil! I'm sorry I missed this outing - I'm happy you supplied the Fiat though. I'm waiting on some brake related parts for my Spider, but should be up and running again in a couple of weeks. Hope to see you on the next drive!

Yes it was Dave's Alfa! Amazing how well known he is. I find him a super friendly guy and remarkably knowledgeable about cars in general, he lives down Chester way, he comes on the classic car runs with us. You might be able to see it on "European classic cars of halifax" on Facebook. Not seen his jag yet but he the Dino out once last year. The alfa though, really gets the looks, it's a sweet looking car

Thanks for the comments. The fiat is a silver/grey colour, very easy to look clean without the polishing.

As far as the wheels are concerned, I haven't ever seen another pair on a Spider. They are 13' with 98 mm centres and have a "made in Great Britain" stamp on them and the sign of virgo - like an "m" that is looped. I think someone has said they are "Oz" wheels but I'm not honestly sure. Does anyone have any definitive ideas, they are obviously quite rare?
