I have a 79 Fiat Spider that some one put on red spring.
1) What good are they?
2) Should they be on my car?
3) I am rebuilding the suspension and have a clearance problem between the spring and top A frame. Any Help?
4) Where can I get the right tool to take the springs out?

Re: Red Springs
Red = probably IAP performance springs
Should you have them? Thats up to you. I find they ride very rough and removed the set I had "back in the day" - I prefer the springs from the early Spiders. I don't like the stock 79-85 springs, they make the car ride too high and springy.
You'll have to explain better your clearance problem; when I had red springs they were almost too short to stay centered in the lower arm.

Re: Red Springs
a better alternative are the progressive springs that both I and Autoricambi offer. They lower the car to the Euro specs but aren't harsh or overly stiff
