Re: Has any one tried this Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit
I ordered points from Vic's Auto Sports. They sent me ones that were the wrong direction. They said they were back ordered on the ones I need. They are not even sure they will get the ones I need in. Has anybody tried this conversion kit?

I have had this conversion kit on my 76 for three years and it is fantastic! A little hard to figure out it's installation, but once I got it right it worked great!

Did you have to pull the distributor?

Had dual points on my 75 Spider.
The module dropped right into place.
I think it depends on the model of your distributor though.

Re: Has any one tried this Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit
I replaced my dual burn' t out points with the AutoRicambi set. My PO had drilled out the base plate to fit some kind of USA made points for some other car. I had to do a little work on base plate but once it was fitted, perfect, much better. But I am wondering since it set at 10° BTC, do I still need the spin up wings beneath the plate. My timing is stuttering a couple of degrees. Does my distributor still need these since timing is already set at 10° ? I thought I saw a post on this where they removed the weights since their purpose is to change timing to10° after warm up. Anybody know?

No, the weights have nothing to do with warm up, it was the dual point set up that did that.
The weights advance the timing as engine speed goes up, you must have that for the engine to run properly.
