Alright, finally here's a pic on the setup.

It was fairly easy to get it running. First remove the old points. Then try to find the correct position for the c-shaped bracket. Some say that you need to drill a new hole for one of the screws but I managed to find a position where everything works fine without an additional hole. But you need to rotate it a couple of times so two of the holes align perfectly and everything is centered. There are many positions that are close but no cigar, and only one that actually works.

Perhaps you will need to find some other screws with a smaller head that the ones included because they may interfere with the screws securing the Pertronix unit to the bracket.
Note that this position is not necessarily the same as one of the old points. I don't think this matters because the cam has four lobes and I think it will end up in a position that corresponds to one of the other lobes. If I'm wrong you will need to check the timing with a timing light.

I put the Pertronix wires through one of the existing holes for the condensation wires. Be sure to extend the wires after you put them through the hole!
I did not remove any regulator or resistor for the coil simply because I did not have one. But they do advice to remove it if you have it.
Then get the red wire to + side of coil, black to -, and you're all set!

I noticed that my distributor may be mounted 'upside-down', but I don't think that matters either

I haven't put a Pertronix on a Spider before - it's on my list, shortly after mine arrives - but I can say that they work very nicely. I had one on a Saab Sonett III some years back, and it was just the simplest drop-in installation and it worked instantly. I rapidly lost my taste for dealing with points and condensers after that!
