2000TC performance without smog equipment
I wonder how much power does US smog equipment take off? My 1979 Spider 2000 is 86hp according to original specs. Can anyone estimate how much hp it should have, when the smog equipment has been removed, it has Weber ADF and performance header made of steel? 100-110hp perhaps, or even more?

2000TC with L-jetronic produced 102hp.
I believe all cams and compression ratios are the same between the 2. Carbed may rev better so it may gain some hp.

Removing a few extra hoses won't but bolting on a 1800 intake and a larger carb will get the engine to ~100 Hp, close to 20% gain!
FWIW Euro spec carbed 131/132 with 2 liter was rated a 110 Hp, Fuel injected at 120 Hp. Both had 9:1 CR.
From my research and buying heads from Europe it seems to me both of these had the same valve sizes as the US cars. The special models like the 131 Racing, Ritmo 105TC and 130TC, etc, had the larger valve sizes for sure. Maybe down under you guys got these better heads on the standard models? I sure wasted a lot of money buying heads from Europe...

Thanks! Yes I have an euro spec intake manifold with 34ADF and also performance exhaust manifold. So it makes it around 100hp, I guess. Fiat TC:s are not very easy to find here in Europe. They used to be very popular in racing, so finding good ones is getting difficult.
