Upper rear spring seat

Post by 70spider »

I have been looking through our trusted vendors sites for new upper rear spring seats and haven't been able to find them. Are they the same as the front ones? If so I can get some new ones from AR, however if not where can I get some?
Thanks

Not the same. I have used ones if you can't find new ones.

Thanks for the offer, but I just used the old ones. They were in good shape, it was the metal seat that sets over the ruuber seat that looked bad initially. As it turns out it was just a little corrosion and dirt so I cleaned them up. Again thanks for the offer.

Is this the piece you were looking for?

As I was lowering the rear axle/springs/shocks out of my 72, this fell from the right side upper seat, and cracked. Problem is, I can't find a similar piece on the left side. Pix of the "empty" spring seats, left first:

Now right:

So, does it appear that the left stayed in place? Or do I need two of these?

Csaba, I may be talking to you soon!
