Dang - thought I had it ready to go

Don't you just hate it when you think that you have everything sorted out on car so you button everything up, give it a wash inside and out then go for a drive just to find out that you have a new issue? Well...just happened to me today. When making a right turn, I'm getting a sound as if the driveshaft is hitting the tunnel...thump, thump, thump as I go around the corner. Well...back under the car again. I suspected it had bad bushings on the upper and lower trailing arms, and panhard rod based upon a previous set of creaks and pops.

That would be a LOT of shifting of the differential. EEK! I'm thinking it is because I had removed the rear anti sway bar and now the play is evident. I hope not, but it will be what it will be.

If the inner seat belt bolts are too long (into the center tunnel) they can come very close to the driveshaft, and a little
shifting during a turn can make it rub.

When my car was new, it made a similar sound. The muffler was near the driveshaft, and it was hitting. I just bent the lip of the muffler and that fixed it.
