Are 67 consoles unobtanium?

I was noticing the 67 apparently had a small under dash console and no center console. I have been considering dumping the center console in my 79 and going with some sort of custom built mini console for the heater controls and fan switch. Are the 67 consoles basically unobtanium?

I got one from him but when I tried to install it it was much bigger on the inside of the car than the outside of the car.
