Would changing the dual point system on a 76" spider to a Petronix or similar, affect smog testing in CA? Would the car fail due to the component alterations? Tired of dealing with points!

it depends on the individual inspector. Most smog techs don't know what a Fiat should look like under the hood

The Pertronix is CARB legal.

The pertronix module fits within the distributor cap, so it isn't noticable. I don't think it will make any difference in a smog test.
