windshield replacement and chrome surround
If I understand the windshield replacement procedure correctly, the outside chrome on the windshield frame is connected to it and none of it has to come off separately. Is this correct?

You have to remove the chrome windshield frame to take out the windshield. Two bolts on each side under the
a-pillar, visible when the door is opened.

Read that thread carefully. If you pull the gasket off the lower pinch weld, the process gets a whole lot harder.
The pinch weld is like a "Y". I had to pull my dash to work that gasket back on the "Y" properly.
