as a 1 off around $75. Not cheap, but cheaper than the replica plastic item.

I think $75 is pretty darn cheap for a billet part. It means your machinist did the part in under an hour...selecting and buying material, assemble tooling, set up mill, cut the part, sand and polish the cut marks. Thats one hellava fast machinist.

I'm pretty sure it was a "special" price to me as i give this outfit a lot of work. I probably only paid for the material
Regarding speed of machining, that's the norm for machining companies that do motorsport work. A lot have day and night shifts....

Agreed…Cos why not find out if your Machinist is interested in possibly making a dozen or so , I'd gladly put my hand up for oneSoFlaFiat wrote:That almost makes me want to put a stock dash back in my car!!! Wow!!

just as i thought. The one off price was a "special" just for me, even though programming and set up has been done already. If he produces these in small volume it will cost me $135 ea, unless these are made in 50 or more to bring the cost down to $75-80.

as I look at this spacer I get concerned about how much thread is left for the nut to hold the wheel on
might get longer studs,to be safe

when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

yes you are right. These were the original studs just for the mock up and to get the basic measurements. I have fitted longer studs to suit.

After a rather quiet winter, with not too much happening, now the weather is starting to improve (?) decided to complete the front brake up-grade. Parts were designed and made, so here is the kit of bits:
I used Lancia integrale disks, and made the aluminium rings to centralise them.
New bespoke mounting plate
longer studs fitted.
for 15" wheels - lots of clearance.
