Idle speed is going up

Hello All

I just bought 1977 Fiat 124 Spider and trying to put everything as original for CA smoke test. First thing first I remove the aftermarket cheap clean air filter. I able to find original air box and installed it nicely. During this process I have replaced the crank case breathing hose and cleaned the oil vapor separator ( it was full of oil residue/crams ). I also connected a little hose coming out of side of the breather hose, to the carb's blow-by connection. I follow the instructions based on shop manual and make it as accurate as can. So far so good and all seems to working fine except the idle speed. As the engine get warms, my idle speed increasing gradually and finally when engine reaches the normal temp, my idle is nearly 3000 RPM. It is hard for me to identify the parts and therefore I am looking for some help. There is two white plastic valves ( by the driver side fender) and each has tubes connected. However the one closer to master cylinder missing one electrical cable.

I have pictures but don't know how to attach.

Are you referring to these? May or may not be related to your problem but I'm curious about these as well.

Could be as simple as a stuck choke. Will it "kick down" when you tap the gas petal once its warm?

Yes they are the one. The one closer to master cylinder missing a connection second connection on its right.

Thanks for suggestion but the choke cable is not even pulled to start with. Car starts rightaway without using a choke cable or pressing the gas pedal down. When car starts the idle is perfect 8 -9. As the engine warms the idle also gradually increases and at the end it reaches the 30 and stays at 30. It is almost working in reverse order.

Any luck with the rising idle speed? As new owners it's going to take a little time to get the basics sorted out on our cars. How are your vacuum lines and connections? It would be nice if someone would identify those thingies on our drivers side. Anything in your shop manual?

I am still having the same issue and I think it is something to do with engine/water temperature. Normally I would expect idle start high and go low as engine warms up. Mine is working totally opposite.

Does any body has 1977 full vacuum hose routing?

It's difficult to do a search when you don't even know what the thingie your curious about is named. Eventually I figured out they are "electrovalves" and there are several posts from others who were curious. Here's one:

Probably not this threads posters problem though unless it's the source of a vacuum leak.
