My spider been down for a while this winter. Just had afm completely refurbed, new rotor, wires and cars running great but I've developed a ping under load (acceleration) Never did this before. Is timing supposed to be 10 degrees BTDC with vaccumn line plugged. Timed it before new work with cheapo light. If that checks out, (doing it tomorrow) what else could be happening. Compression good at 150 per hole. It's an 82 FI, could it be too lean and if so how can I richen it up.
Thanks

Re: Ping under load
Good point, I just put a couple gallons on top of 5 month old gas. I'll check timing then top off and maybe additive/stabilizer
Thanks

Re: Ping under load
Tming had been set to 15 BTDC. Reset it to 10 BTDC and some fresh gas solved the problem.
