Spring question
Re: Spring question
D, your absolutely right! The librarian might be a little older, and her rear end might droop a little on one side (drivers), and her hood bumps might not be as big as us younger guys are used to but she's all Spider.
Re: Spring question
this is quite the metaphor, next you're going to tell me your Spider is named Marion

Re: Spring question
Those big bump hoods may look nice and perky when new but wait until the pull of gravity gets hold of em. That's why I'm happy with my flat hood.

Re: Spring question
Ok, I just had 1972 Springs put in my 81 Spider. The rear shows a nice drop. BUT, the front looks the same.
Now it looks like I am carrying lead bars in my trunk.
The mechanic suggested the springs may settle in over two weeks. What do you think?
I am skeptical. May have to put the originals back in.
Thanks

Re: Spring question
Sam ,is that on the car you are bringing to FFO? I would really like to look at it before I decide to put the 72 springs on my 82!

Re: Spring question
unless they're new springs they've already settled. Maybe you got a mixed set; early rears, late fronts

Re: Spring question
I bet that is what it is.
Mixed springs. Oh well. Will have to find 72 FRONT springs.
