Decided to repaint my side mirror and address the issue of the remote adjustment lever. Currently the lever, and the cable it's attached to, just hang inside the door panel. It was abandoned by the PO and I've just been adjusting the mirror by hand. There is a hole for it in the panel metal. I have restored my door panels and covered over the holes but would cut a hole in the vinyl for it if I could be sure the apparatus is complete and working first. I'm tired of stripping non-essential things away, time to get them working again.
Is anyone able to snap a pic from the interior of the cabin of the mirror lever. Mine is an 81 but I'm sure the late models are mostly the same. I'm trying to see what is attached from the cabin interior side to keep it from falling back into the door, etc.
I'm befuddled.
Thanks in advance,
Deb

Re: Remote Mirror Adjustment
There is a threaded ring that screws on the door panel where the mirror adjuster sticks through from inside the door.
