update: fixed the corner rubber mounting studs by re threading- win!
had to cut off the main mounting bolt on the passenger side- still figuring out how to save this one
driver side main bolt broke free but is still on- working on saving this.
got bumper sanded, painted with chrome paint, then clear coated- before the clear coat, the paint actually resembled chrome. After the clear coat, the color changed to something very close to what it was before- kind of a satin stainless finish.
So this whole can of worms will get me a bumper that is clean and refurbished, but the same as before.
i guess this is a win- not really sure
refurbing chrome on rear bumper?
Keeping it sharp - paint, wax, detailing, etc.
