$7868 for a 79 124 auto/ carb. Base msrp was $7090. The 78 may have been a few hundred less. I don't know where that chart got the $9899 from.

Anyone notice the picture on the chart has the car with the rear quarter window UP and the top DOWN, which is impossible on a Spider?

Well that accounts for the higher prices on that chart --- to account for the "rear-quarter-windows-stay-up-when-the-top-comes-down" option. It's an expensive option.

Did U also notice that only one qtr window is up, which means not only is it impossible, fiat could not even figure how to make the picture work right.

My guess is they may erroneously have the X1/9 cost in there, instead of the Spider. I seem to remember paying about that for my brand new '79 X1/9.

Based on that window sticker FIAT was serious about their "standard equipment" - like the fuel low lamp. I mean seriously, is that worth listing?

STANDARD EQUIPMENT (note this should be in a 1979 dot matrix type)
---------------------------------------------------
METAL BODY
HEADLIGHTS
STEERING WHEEL
EXHAUST SMELL (AT TIMES)
LUDICROUS AMOUNT OF EMISSIONS CONTROL EQUIPMENT
POWER SUCKING WEBER ADHA CARBURETOR
FUR LINED GLOVE BOX
VISORS THAT WILL BREAK IN HALF AFTER FIRST WINTER
VINYL AND GLUE SMELL (WARRANTIED FOR 65 YEARS)

Hilarious...sad but true. One thing that should have been standard equipment though is a 100 piece metric tool set.
