My father always told me "a fool is born every day", he also said "a fool and his money are easily departed". I guess these people live by this philosphy.

Very nice work. Overpriced?????? If I figured my hours at standard shop rate, it would getting close to their price and they did a whole lot more stuff than i did.

They do appear to do really nice work, and they seem to have a passion for our cars. I don't begrudge anyone trying to obtain a premium price; if the market says no, it says no. They are obviously targeting a segment of the market that likely would not include many of us here. For someone who is not price-sensitive and wants a turnkey classic (with keyless entry, no less), it's a great option. I also suspect that they would be negotiable.

Unfortunately, as we all know, the labor hours you put into it don't define the price. What the market will pay defines the price. Perhaps there's someone who will pay $90,000 for a Fiat Spider, but it wouldn't be me. Before I spent $90,000 on a Fiat I would:
> Buy a 2015 Corvette and build an extra garage to put it in.
> Buy a 2015 Porsche Cayman (and make the Civic sit in the driveway!)
> Buy a 1983 Fiat with the right bumpers, get it repainted, and pay for two years of my son's college tuition.
> Buy a 90's Ferrari and have a substantial kitty of money to pay for the maintenance (and make the Civic sit in the driveway!)
> Buy a 65 fastback Mustang, a 71 Corvette, and build an additional garage to put them in

Keep in mind that the $90k model is their top of the line, with extensive upgrades. Their starter model is $25k, I believe. For someone who doesn't know how to restore a car or whose car restoration days are behind him, a professionally-done car at that price, or even higher with upgrades, might be an attractive option.
