Montana 5th Wheel. Wife's cancer scans have been good, tumors shrinking, so we can dare to do this, and maybe I can actually give her some retirement time. One more good scan (next week) and we pull the trigger. Haven't chosen specific model yet, but the Montana or Montana High Country is the way to go for us. Truck will be Silverado 2500HD std bed, SRW, 6.6 turbo diesel with rear axle airbags. Bed tongue weight 2500+ for the 5er. Staying here on Cape Cod from April 1 to Dec 1, (with the Spider) then go South for 4 months. Never again will we put up with this. Absolutely unacceptable weather. Was easy when I was 20, but not at 60. Likely will have the 5er professionally moved, looking at Naples, since we have friends there. The Spider comes with us behind my pickup on a UHaul trailer for the Winter in the South. Not letting this car go just yet. It is the only reason I have any sanity left after the stress we have been through the past 2 years.

So RRoller, I've been really looking forward to meeting at the Millis thing this spring representing Fiat and your vast experience. If I read correctly you're not hitting the highway until December. I'd like to do the same someday but that's a bit in the future. I'll be here for many more New England winters if they don't kill me (heart attack with a shovel for example). Hope all goes well so you can "pull the trigger" on that Montana!

Thanks! Working 7 months straight trying to get this house in selling order. Almost done. Millis on Saturday evenings is on the list in an A spot for sure. Also do: The Episcopal Church at the foot of Blue Hills on Friday evenings. Great Barbeque and great people. AND The Larz Anderson cars and Coffee events, where it is more than 50% foreign cars, AND the Herb Chambers Cars and Coffee events. All start in April, and I go to just about all of them. And of course Tutto Italiano the first weekend of August at the Larz, where there will be many of us! Usually about 12-15 Spiders. All these groups have Facebook pages. The Milford CAP cruise I do not like. Unfriendly people, generally closed minded to anything but American iron. Unfortunate. I have heard that the Abington Ale House Cruise is good but haven't been, and there are a bunch in RI too, that are not that far away. Then close the season out in Eastham, with really nice people and a great ride on uncrowded 6A in the Fall!

If you are expecting an improvement in weather moving to Montana, you better think again. Went to school with a girl from Montana who told me. "We measure snow in feet, not inches".

I too live in Canada - 12º C (54º F) yesterday, clear skies, no wind, flat calm water off the east coast of Vancouver Island. Pulled in two nice 10 - 12 lb spring salmon. Nice salmon BBQ last night.

Big country, varied weather! But I don't think even the fillies down on St. Catherine's Street could warm me up this year.

AzRuss: Montana is this: http://www.keystonerv.com/montana/  I am partial at this point to the 3402 layout, and a few others.

I hear you Bruce.
Worked outside yesterday in a T-shirt. I'll see what the weather is like next week, but it is tempting to insure the Fiat.
I have a water pump and oil to change first.

I woke up yesterday to a balmy 2*F, the high was only 17*F. Today it was -6*F windchill and the high only got to 15*F, which is 40* below normal. They are calling for freezing rain and snow for the next two days. So no work on the suspension rebuild. The gas company got my head rebuild and block work money :o . I could only have one explanation for it, I bought a Spider  . I think they should build a large force field and keep all this cold air in Canada  .
