what to do?

Post by spiderrey »

hmm. just picked up an 87 x for parts for the 2 74,s that are here. already yanked the drivelinesout of the 74,s to get them ready for the 2 b 16,s we just got. i drove the 87 home, it drove so nice with that fuel injected 1500, compared to my 1300 carbed car. i got this crazy idea to work on only one swap at a time and drop that 1500 with air into the yellow 74 , just for a while ?

What are your plans for the orange X? Go for it. That's the one thing I can't complain about on the Devil X. Even with the bottom end knock it's a smooth engine and gets awsome gas mileage.

Would you not leave the 1500 in permanently or keep it stock? 1500 FI sounds like a winner to me. There must be a large difference between it and a 1300 carbed, plenty enough to run air I would think.
Decisions, decisions.

Denise, i gave the orange x back to my son chris, he is going to install the b 16 a into it as soon as i learn to weld. i will install the b 16 b into the yellow x, or as eladio so affectionatly calls it, tweety bird. my engine stock is rated at 185 hp, but we all know stock is just another word for temporary.
Ron, the two cars are like night and day. but thats still not enough for me. i want to embarrass some people with that car. it will be such an easy install, that i think it will be worth doing temporarily while i finish getting things together for the swap.
