Distributor Cap leaking Oil...

What is the fix for this? I know I saw it on the forum
but can't find it now.

if there is oil inside the dist, then the lower seal is leaking. You have to remove the dist, drive out the pin and remove the gear. The seal is above the gear

yes, except I've seen some of the gear pins that are peened over and are so hard that they can't be drilled. If you happen to have one like that, expect to take it to a machine shop to cut the pin.

What timing !

I just pulled my Dizzy to rebuild it and remove the Vac. advance
so i took some photos to show before and after lol then seen this post after .

Heres the before will have some of the after when i am done and
have time to deal with this maybe this weekend .

So where is the seal I need to replace?
How easy is it to pull that Dizzy?

Hi Thomas

Pulling the dizzy is the easy part and even removing the pickup
and other parts for someone handy with tools but the pin is not
easy to get out it's in the photo below holding the gear on .
The seal is between the gear and Dizzy .

Can you tap it out? Or do you have to drill it?

My clutch went out last night...The Pedal is almost impossible
to depress.

Getting it towed to Jack's Fiat in WeHo.

Hello Thomas

I try'd to use a hammer and punch it was to hard i'll need to
take it to a friend who has a machine shop and use his press .
If you want I could do yours as well if you can get it to me
some time next week since i am rebuilding a couple already
one more will not hurt . I have the inner seals on the way
I just need to pick them up for Italian Car Service and myself .
The Bottom seal I have one but can grab another for you also
let me know .
