Winter sucks

I was in Disneyland (California) for a week and we had 68-73 degree weather. It was sooooooooooooooo nice!

I would like to say I feel very sad for those who have Spiders in New England and the N.E. in general. The weather here in Kansas has been pretty good so far, a little cold, but drivable. This has ended with an inch of sleet and a few more inches of snow on top of that this morning. I could drive but don't trust the other drivers here when it is slick, they are under the impression if I drive an SUV I can haul ass in the snow. Unfortunately there is more on its way this week .

No kidding. Out on the left coast here we are getting endless news regarding the fridged temps and snow in mid to eastern Canada and the NE States.

Hate to rub it in but if the weather here holds, I'll be putting plates on the spider and start the top-down season. Went for a short bike ride yesterday and saw people on the just opened for the season golf course in town. -2C at night and +12C during the day....

This is my backyard. The circular thing is not my pool, it is the snow on top of my pool. The snow in the yard is above the level of the pool. I wanted to check the ice dams on the back of my house and needed snow shoes to go into my back yard!

So far this February has been the snowiest February on record by 15", and it is only the 15th. Another 12" of snow and this will be the snowiest winter on record in Massachusetts.

It's going to be a while before the Fiat comes out of the garage!

Jeez - and here I am thinking I might have to cut my lawn this weekend. And I'm in Canada, for crying out loud!

Not the case in Quebec. Although no record amounts of snow, we're experiencing the coldest February in over 20 years. That said, it's still a walk in the park compared to what our friends on the Atlantic coast are going through.

comrade spidernut, winter does not suck here in peoples republic of south Carolina. Winter is being time to do restoration projects, and prepare spider for top down spring driving! Do svidaniya!

Sprinklers are now turned on once a day ...... Heading towards a drought again....

went out twice last weekend on extended drives as the temps remain in the 80s with no signs of falling off. We have had good rain this winter (all 3 weeks of it) so all the brush looked healthy and green. Should make of a hellava fire season.
