What! And deprive you from all the fun involved in making it all happen? When you restore a car your extra costs are considered as the hobby factor. Fiat owners are also very well known as gluttons for punishment.
Many Fiat Spider owners have more into their cars than what they are worth. Eventually they want to move on with another project and when they sell they settle for market value. The winner? The buyer.
On the other hand when some of the members on this board refurbish or restore their own car, they can be sure that every step of the project is done the correct way without cutting corners. It's painted to the color of their choice. Their attention to detail is so satisfying in a way that eventually when the job is complete the feeling of pride and accomplishment is priceless. (None of that feeling when you buy it restored, peace of mind maybe, lol) You must know this feeling. Your wife will sense it in you when you finally introduce her to the car.
