Hi,
I just finished doing a little reading in the archives and I am seriously starting to regret having removed and throwing out my carbon canister a few years back in an attempt to clean up the engine bay.
I never pluged up the lines to ran to and from the canister because i was worried about pressure build ups. I have a lot of fumes coming into the cabin and I sort of wish I could replace my carbon canister.
Does anyone know of a new carbon canister that I can buy and retrofit onto my 77 Spider?
Thanks
replacement carbon canister?

Savara made it and it was used on a few million european cars. As noted, check ebay. Alfa Romeo, Porsche, VW, BMW, Saab, Ferrari, Peugeot, they all used it. Also the same as the X1/9, Strada, 131 and other FIATs.

Jay, is there a replaceable breather (filter) on the underside of this unit that's supposed to be a maintenance item? Although mine is a carb version i suspect the casing is the same.

Re: replacement carbon canister?
Did we ever get an expert answer on how long these things last? Not sure how one would actually test it, without some sort of specialized equipment, and it would obviously be cheaper to just replace it.
