I still want to know how the heck johnnie made it to his 3rd Fiat and is still not familiar with them? My first one absolutely required familiarity!!!

No loss, he's probably on a motorcycle forum pissing their members off with questions like "I can't find the radiator hoses". There is a long history of "mechanics" who can't seem to figure out FIAT Spider engines. These cars are so simple I find it hard to believe that anyone who is an actual mechanic can't diagnose them.

Can't be silent any longer. Everyone pissing on the OP here is really in poor taste. Certainly his initial post lacked some basic things, but what a way to treat a new guy. This is the only forum I am part of that would react that way. Really tasteless. Follow the leader.

Keith

Keith - while I agree things have gotten somewhat out of hand on this thread, I suggest it was the OP's second post that pushed folks over the edge not the fact that his first post was lacking in information. I too am involved with several forums and frankly, for the most part, I find this forum to be one of the most reasonable ones - as evidenced by the fact that I have no qualms about putting my name in my signature.
If 'johnnie" is smart, he will see the value of belonging here and will start over by reincarnating himself under a different user id and rejoin. I suspect he will find, as I have, that there are an awful lot of people here who, when treated respectfully, can be of tremendous help in keeping our cars on the road.

Cheers,
Bruce

ps - I'd suggest that our Moderator should "close" this thread. Given that johnnie hasn't returned, I don't think there is any further value to be gained with posting more cartoons or insults.

Nope, can't agree.
As I see it the OP stepped on his own unit with the snide remarks he made.
Now then, I think most of us are still willing to help the guy out.
But that wuold require him to be smart enough to come back in here with actual information for us to aid him in his endeavours.

It's winter, the guy was a jerk. This isn't prison, you don't punch the first person you see and get respect. I think everyone was pretty humorous for the most part. After all, Johnnie pretty much insulted everyone with tools and a car in his "thanks for nothing" post. If anything the responses have been somewhat kind. I seriously doubt the other forums you are on would react differently, unless they are anger management forums. Take a stroll through alfabb.com if you really want to see some nasty posts. Those guys hate each other just because they own the same cars.

We love you Johnnie, come back. But most of us still own Craftsman tools and diagnose a "screechhh" without more information.
