Convertible top latches don't align

I have an 82 spider that I purchased recently. I ma having a hard time keeping the top latched. When the front bow contacts the windshield, both latch guide pins are outside of their respective slots in the windshield bracket by about 1/8" on either side. Most everything on the car is original so I have a hard time imagining that someone installed the wrong bow or wrong latches. Any ideas? STEPHEN L

Loosen the latches and you should be able to move them some.
