Nice fiat article in local paper

My parents came across this article in the Baton Rouge paper and clipped it out for me. Apologize for the photo. I have it in PDF but don't have a host for the link. I was somewhat amused by the purchase price as these cars sold for double that in 1981. My 79 was $7800 so not sure why they stated a $3k sticker unless the owner was fuzzy about the details.

Nice article; you're right about the price, the cars were expensive by 1981...in the $8000s or higher. As my dad would say "I could buy one and half oldsmobiles for that." I do remember a Mazda pickup was $5795 - because the commercial in Lafayette they'd say "sakes alive, only Mazda has a truck for only $5795..."

They were likely over $10k in 1981.
My 1978 was ~$6000 new, while my carb 1980 was $9000+ new.
