Your good that's me still doing planes here and there just don't fly as much, but as you see i'm still into fixing things hehehehehe Got a Hero Eagle on the building table right now waiting on some Robart main struts to show up todayRoyBatty wrote:Sounds like you have a float level adjusted a bit too high or maybe it's sticking.
This can overfill the float chamber and flood your engine.
I recognize your handle from posting videos on RCUniverse from a few years ago.
If you're the same person, aren't you in the SF Bay area.
Might be able to take a drive over to help you out some time if that's the case.
Sounds like that's whats going on i just gave the guys over at Allison Fiat Auto down in So. Cal about there EMPI 32/36 DFEV Carburetor they sell, but asked a few question on what would cause the issue i'm having he said the same thing your saying sounds like a float chamber issue, which as i recall when i went to change the little needle in there and reading the rebuild instructions it said to set the float at 14mm from the level it should hang down, but now recalling it, it was much lowwer than they noted in the rebuild kit which makes sense that it was set there by whom every owned the carb and ran it before me cause this wasn't a issue til i adjusted to the kit notes to 14mm so this weekend i will adjust it back down and give it a try and see what happens, lol it's a small world from one hobby to another
