Bruce's Parts Bin
Bruce's Parts Bin
Anyone out there know if Bruce's Parts Bin is still in business. The Web site is still up but the phone is disconnected. I need parts for an 81 anniversary Fiat Spyder. Thanks, Peter

Are you aware of the several other vendors many of us on the forum use ?peterfrueh wrote:Anyone out there know if Bruce's Parts Bin is still in business. The Web site is still up but the phone is disconnected. I need parts for an 81 anniversary Fiat Spyder. Thanks, Peter

What part are you looking for, as I just stripped a rust bucket Anniversary Edition car a few months ago.
Re: Bruce's Parts Bin
I wonder what happened to that mountain of parts he had.

It would be nice to hear something from Bruce himself.
Is he out of business for good?
Does he want to liquidate his remaining inventory?
He will be missed....

Bruce was my go-to parts guy and I was always pleased with his service. If would be nice to know what he's up to these days.

Re: Bruce's Parts Bin
When he moved to a new facility a few years back he left most of the slow moving NOS parts at the old place.tonyfromjersey wrote:I wonder what happened to that mountain of parts he had.
I don't think there is a mountain of parts left.

Re: Bruce's Parts Bin
I visited Bruce probably 15 years ago and he had a nice inventory of good parts, but a lot of stuff that he couldn't sell. Keep in mind that when people buy FIAT dealer part inventories 80% of that is stuff no one can sell. Strada parts, 128 parts, 131 parts, Lancia parts. There are two cars that make money - Spiders and X1/9s. Everything else is just...taking up space.
The one thing Bruce had that I wish I begged from him was a FIAT dealer computer, an IBM 8180 or whatever (PC/AT type). If it could have been revived it would have had the program that took the service code from your car and gave the parts list.

Re: Bruce's Parts Bin
In my experience, IAP's in-stock inventory is only about 20% of its catalog. The rest is on perpetual backorder. Same with Mr. Fiat on eBay. I've had the best luck with Midwest-Bayless and Vick's.Lkcast wrote:i have been waiting for a trunk lock for my 81 spider, from international auto parts but they seem out of stock for over 3 months now. i would like to work on "Olive" while it is cold and she is warm. thanks

Hi
I have a trunk lock you can have but I do not have the key for it.
