Fiat 124 vs Lada 1200

Post by garion »

I stumbled across this article that compares the 124 vs the Lada version.. Some interesting info there, where Lada made a bunch of changes that affect the parts that we might get from vendors..

Neat, I was not aware that it was available in English! The original article is in Hungarian, I read a while back.

I think the article is not really fair, as it compares a very early 124 sedan (likely 1966) to an early Lada (~1972), and by then the 124 sedan had incorporated many of the changes that are 'better' on the Lada.

BTW, the Lada was designed by Fiat for the Soviets (Fiat actually built the entire factory), so those changes were made by Fiat, not Lada.
